Rainbows after the Storm

Rainbow an a half_edited-1_wm

These rainbows, one barely visible,  appeared after the clouds two posts below, as sunlight hit our garage.  From my angle the garage door appears as crazy as the day.

This image was shot on July 11, 2017.  The day, date and time menus, on my point and shoot camera, goofed up – the details indicating the image was taken the end of December 1979.

Sunlight and Poor Composition

I’m using this image as an example of what can go wrong when we’re not paying attention to business.  First of all it was obviously the wrong time of day to shoot this … look how the sunlight ruins the image rather than adding a sense of apprehension to entering the trail. The rule of thirds could be overlooked here since there was no other way to focus on the tree at the back of the image.  These are just two of the problems making this a poor image.  Having the sun behind you is, of course, a good thing.  Composing an image without thoroughly preparing is not.
